A survey of the current IT status of schools will be circulated to all KLASNET schools shortly after Easter. Data returned will be used to assist in the development of the KLASNET schools' project.

Free expert training for teachers and students will occur after Easter at the IT, Tralee. Information will be posted to all KLASNET schools via the listserv.

KLASNET has grown from a network of 9 schools on the 15th of January to a total of 94 schools presently.

Official launch of KLASNET by Mr. Justice Hugh O'Flaherty of the Supreme Court took place in the Institute of Technology, Tralee on March 5th, 1999. See speech.

KLASNET is Ireland's only countywide internet-based schools' network.
